About Michelle Wiley, MA, LPC

Over the course of my career, I have engaged in collaborative change with many different individuals, groups, and organizations as a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado, Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner, and equine-assisted psychotherapist.

Change can happen without notice or choice. Even when change is intentional, it can be challenging. My work is rooted in the value of collaboration, creating equitable approaches for people to engage in change efforts through human-centered and inclusive design, ensuring culturally responsive engagement at every level.

Values

I was brought up to value the collective, a worldview that has shaped my decades-long career in behavioral health and social impact organizations, and sets me apart as a leader and consultant.

Authenticity, reliability, and transparency are core to who I am and how I lead. When we work together, you’ll find that I am who you see me to be, that I do what I say I’m going to do, and that I am communicative, collaborative, and relational.

As a mission-oriented leader who’s dedicated years to growing my business acumen, you can rely on me and my team to both set high-level strategy, and partner with you, putting pen to paper on an actionable implementation plan.

Operating Approach

Leaders have an important role with a great deal of responsibility, but leadership isn’t about one person. It’s about learning, modeling, and teaching the skills and behaviors needed to motivate a group and effect change.

I lead with a trauma-informed, humanity-first lens, meaning I stay close to the people at the center of an organizational issue or moment of transition, providing staff and Board members calm competency, sound decision-making and problem-solving, specialized guidance, and clear, reflective communication.

Together, we will work to identify and build on your organization’s strengths, and reimagine what no longer works.

No one is born a leader—instead, we must cultivate our leadership through observation, learning, and input. My professional trajectory has involved formal education and work experiences as well as personal determination, many hours of self-led study, and the wisdom and support of those around me.

I believe knowledge and skills are meant to be shared, and see it as a welcome responsibility to create mentorship opportunities for bringing up the next generation of leaders.
