Kaiser Permanente Colorado and the Colorado Health Institute (CHI) assembled stakeholders in 2025 to advance a comprehensive approach to expanding and diversifying the behavioral health workforce.
The Collaborative grew from the model outlined in the 2022 Diversifying the Behavioral Health Workforce in Colorado Report and Strategic Plan, authored by Michelle Wiley, MA, LPC. This report catalyzed conversations across Colorado and served as a guiding document for the Collaborative’s efforts.
